Quilt: Honeycomb Hexagon
 
Description:
Honeycomb Hexagon is a strip based quilt that is easy to piece but makes a fundesign when put together. It works with 2 1/2 inch strips, so jelly rolls work or you can use yardage and cut your own.
 
Skill Level:  Intermediate
 
Skill, Technique, or Method:  Strip piecing, specialty ruler use.
 
Pattern Fee:  The pattern is about $12 and will be required before class. A 60 degree ruler is also required - we like Creative Grids 60 degree diamond ruler.
 
Fabric Requirements: 
Twin
● ⅓ yard each of 14 different colors
● 1 ⅓ yard of accent fabric
● ⅝ yard binding
● 3 ¾ yards backing
Lap
● ⅓ yard each of 10 different colors (or a jelly roll with 2 strips of each color)
● 1 yard accent fabric
● ½ yard binding
● 3 ⅓ yards backing
Baby
● ⅓ yard each of 6 different colors (or ⅙ yard each of 12 different colors)
● ⅔ yard accent fabric
● ⅜ yard binding
● 2 ½ yards backing

Finished project size:  
Twin size 60”x75”
Lap size 55" x 63"
baby size 40" x 55"
